This is Closing Weekend,
March 26/27
Bring your Friends
Kids Freestyle Contest on Saturday. Lots of prizes!
End of Season Survey linked below!
She is signing up for SkyKids as soon as registration opens in June.
While the coverage is still pretty good and we have certainly operated on less snow, the temperature has not gone below freezing for a week. Webster and Rocco are way up high and the walk to the snow is getting longer each hour. Just the way it is. Get up to Sky right at the first chair and make some turns. Open ski days, half-price Friends and Family tickets at $25. Watch out for things that were not there last time you skied!
Saturday, March 26 Freestyle Contest for all the kids.
Age categories for all.
It will happen on the lower terrain park on Rocco. No entry fee. Lots of prizes. (Yale kinda talked everyone out of everything!) Get to Sky at the regular time, no sleeping in, and the Freestyle Team will make this happen!
You know those guys at school that say they got a 540 down? Invite them to prove it!
You can add your name to the list of participants here
Sky Tavern Rental Gear
If you got some of this from Sky Tavern to ski and board on and don't want it cluttering up your garage any longer you can turn it in with Colin this weekend. If you are still visiting Disneyland and not coming up this weekend, hang on to it. The third week of April we will be making stops each weeknight at high schools with our bus so you can drop the gear back off there. Details will be coming when we get closer but I try to save you the drive up. Please don't lose the gear, pawn the gear or try to make it snow by setting fire to it. We need it for next season. If you need it longer, say for a trip to Zermatt, just let Colin know.
The 2022 end-of-season survey is linked here. It is short enough to do between dramas with the kids yet gives you an opportunity to let me know what I totally blew this season and what we got right. PLEASE take a few minutes and complete it. Some of our funding (keeping your fees low) depends on us getting this info.
A lot of thanks and tears coming next email. Sorry, but closing is tough. All my friends are here.
There are a lot of people to thank for this season and I am going to get to that shortly. Right now I want to very sincerely thank one person. Marty is leaving as Mountain Manager after five years at Sky Tavern. He was responsible for your kid's safety on the ride up each time. Lifts, especially old lifts, are constant work, worry, headaches. Marty brought a great level of expertise and detail to the job. Our safety record is unsurpassed in the industry and he is responsible for a large part of that. Thank you for the five years. Good luck in the next role.
One last thing. If you have a high school student looking for a summer job that is a bit different, the ropes course here, Project Discovery, is looking for camp counselors.
Email Mike at for more info.
